Slightly crispy chicken nuggets (a la those popular ones) referred to as Chinese Orange Chicken, made with either flour or cornstarch and garnished using a different orange sauce ! This is a dish that makes for an ideal family feast or can be used as party appetizer in the weekend.

How to Make Orange Chicken

It is easy to make Orange Chicken. Simply follow through these steps, and you will have a wholesome meal to put on the table in quick minutes!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb chicken breast, diced
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • A few stems of green onions, to garnish (optional)

Directions:

  1. Place the cornstarch in a bowl and dredge each chicken piece in it.
  2. Drop the coated pieces of chicken inside beaten ovum
  3. Fry the chicken in a pan over medium heat until golden and cook through.
  4. Orange juice, soy sauce , sugar, rice vinegar with garlic and ginger in a separate bown
  5. Pour over the sauce mixture and stir through with chicken in pan.
  6. Now, let it cook for 2–3 minutes so the sauce can thicken.
  7. Remove and serve hot, garnish with chopped spring onions if you wish.
