How to Make Hawaiian Shrimp Bowl
This Hawaiian Shrimp Bowl is made with just a few of ingredients and its super simple to throw together. Let’s get started!
Ingredients:
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- ½ pineapple, peeled and cored then cut into chunks
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon sriracha
- 1/2 teaspoon lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup cooked rice
- Instructions: ½ c. chopped green onions, for garnish
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
Directions:
- Toss shrimp in a large bowl with soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic powder and pepper flakes; season generously (but not too much) salt and freshly ground black pepper. Allow the beef to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Grill shrimp and pineapple over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp are cooked through and the pineapples have grill marks.
- To make Spicy Mayo, whisk together mayonnaise, sriracha (or other chili sauce), lime juice , garlic powder and salt in a small bowl.
- Gently pour the rice into bowls. Serve over grilled shrimp and pineapple. Top with Spicy Mayo and sprinkle green onions and sesame seeds.
