Crispy Rice Ball Many times if there is left over rice at home, we make different dishes out of it. You can make them in 5 minutes flat. They go perfectly with marinara sauce and some creamy dip, perfect for kids big or small.

How to Make Crispy Rice Balls


Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1/4 cup of Parmesan Cheese, grated
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Breadcrumbs for coating
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 (15 oz) jar marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Directions:

  1. In a bowl combine cooked rice, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese egg parsley garlic salt and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls.
  3. Roll each rice ball in breadcrumbs and dredge.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat and cook the rice balls for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden. Drain on paper towels.
  5. Place fried rice balls on a plate and salsa along with mayonnaise, sour cream sauce prepared using parsley leaves chopped fine garlic salt pepper to be served together.
