Chocolate Bundt Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 of a cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
- Chocolate chips, 1 cup (optional)
- 1 CUP HEAVY CREAM TO MAKE GANACHE
- 8 oz. semisweet chocolate (for ganache)
Directions:
- Grease bundt pan and heat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place flour, cocoa powder sotred in a mixing bowl followed by sugar, baking sayt combined along with breadcrumbs and then lastly salt.
- Pour the eggs, milk, vegetable oil and vanilla extract into the well on top of dry ingredients; mix until smooth.
- Pour in the boiling water, slowly and stir well until everything is smooth (the batter will be thin).
- Add the chocolate chips if using.
- Add the batter to prepared bundt pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the cake in pan for 10 minutes, then remove from pan and cool completely on wire rack.
- Ganache: Put heavy cream in a saucepan and bring to almost boiling. Heat the heavy cream in a medium pan on stove until almost boiling, then pour over the chopped semisweet chocolate that is sitting inside of a heat proof bowl. Allow to sit for a few minutes, then stir until smooth.
- Let the cake cool all the way, and then pour chocolate ganache on top. Serve and enjoy!
