Chocolate Bundt Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 of a cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • Chocolate chips, 1 cup (optional)
  • 1 CUP HEAVY CREAM TO MAKE GANACHE
  • 8 oz. semisweet chocolate (for ganache)

Directions:

  1. Grease bundt pan and heat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place flour, cocoa powder sotred in a mixing bowl followed by sugar, baking sayt combined along with breadcrumbs and then lastly salt.
  3. Pour the eggs, milk, vegetable oil and vanilla extract into the well on top of dry ingredients; mix until smooth.
  4. Pour in the boiling water, slowly and stir well until everything is smooth (the batter will be thin).
  5. Add the chocolate chips if using.
  6. Add the batter to prepared bundt pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool the cake in pan for 10 minutes, then remove from pan and cool completely on wire rack.
  8. Ganache: Put heavy cream in a saucepan and bring to almost boiling. Heat the heavy cream in a medium pan on stove until almost boiling, then pour over the chopped semisweet chocolate that is sitting inside of a heat proof bowl. Allow to sit for a few minutes, then stir until smooth.
  9. Let the cake cool all the way, and then pour chocolate ganache on top. Serve and enjoy!
