How to Make Clam Chowder

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 medium potatoes, diced
  • 2cups clams, diced (tinned or fresh)
  • 2 cups clam juice
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Directions:

  1. Cook bacon in a large pot over medium heat until crispy.
  2. Saute the onion and garlic until onion is translucent.
  3. Add the chopped potatoes and sauté for 3 min.
  4. Include clam juice and bring to a boil. Turn down heat and cook until potatoes are a little tender.
  5. Add your clams and heavy cream, simmering for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Season to the taste with salt and pepper.
  7. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve hot.
