How to Make Blueberry Pie
Ingredients:
- 2 cups fresh blueberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Pie Crusts (I used this flaky recipe for top and bottom)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Directions:
- Set oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Mix blueberries with sugar, cornstarch and lemon juice in a large bowl.
- Roll out 1 pie crust and put in a 9 inch cake dish.
- Place blueberries in crust and dot with butter.
- Lay out the other half of the dough and interlace it as shown above on top of your filling.
- Brust with some beaten egg on the surface.
- Bake for 15 minutes more and then reduce the heat to 350°F (175°C)F, continue baking for another 30-35 or until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
