Crispy Onion Rings Recipe with Creamy Mustard Dip
Ingredients:
- Two large onions cut into 1/2″ rings
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/4 cup milk
- Oil for frying
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Directions:
- In a shallow dish, combine flour, panko crumbs (or just plain breadcrumbs), paprika as well as garlic powder and salt & pepper. In another bowl, whisk eggs and milk.
- Remove onion rings from container and dip each in the egg mixture for a few seconds, then dredge it into the flour until covered completely.
- In a large skillet, heat oil over medium. Cook onion rings for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden and crisp. Drain on paper towels.
