How to Make Crispy Spring Rolls with Sweet Chili Dipping Sauce


Ingredients

  • 1 pkg 17.3 oz Spring roll wrapper, frozen (allow to thaw)
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 tea sriracha (if using)

Directions

  1. Prepare Filling: Heat a large skillet over medium heat and brown ground pork. Throw in the onion with garlic (grated) and saute till soft. Add ginger, soy sauce and braise for 3 -5 minutes including salt then black pepper. Saute for 1 minute to combine the flavors.
  2. Prepare the Spring Rolls: On each spring roll wrapper set 1 tablespoon of filling in center. Wet corners with a little water and fold the tip in, then roll all length.
  3. To fry the spring rolls: Heat oil in a large skillet oven medium heat. Deep fry spring rolls for 2-3 minutes or until they are golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towel.
  4. Sweet Chili Dipping Sauce: Whisk the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil and sriracha together in a small bowl.
  5. Serving : Serve the crispy spring rolls hot with the sweet chili dipping sauce on a plate. Especially if you are making fresh, only taste best then!
