How to Make Seafood Paella


Seafood paella is a classic recipe and it is very easy to make one! Simple stuff, and come on, you know it will wow your dinner guests!

Ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 yellow onion, medium dice
  • 2 medium red bell peppers, diced
  • 1/2 cup chopped Chorizo
  • 1 dried red chili pepper
  • 2 large tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 cup White Wine
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 big pinch Saffron
  • 1 tablespoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 1/2 cups Valencia Rice
  • 3 1/2 cups Chicken stock
  • 1 pound Mussels
  • 1 pound Jumbo Shrimp
  • 1 pound Clams

Directions:

  1. Heat a medium-sized paella pan on the stove over medium-high heat. Olive oil Onions Red bell pepper Chorizo Dried chili Cook for 3 minutes, until the vegetables are slightly soft.
  2. Grate the tomatoes. Use a box grater to grate each tomato directly into the pan! Mix and let it cook until the liquid is reduced to half.
  3. Lower the heat to low. Toss in tomato paste, a white wine deglaze along with crushed garlic cloves (unpeeled), saffron threads and paprika. Stir until combined completely .
  4. Stir in the rice, chicken stock. Bring to a simmer over low heat and do not stir, let cook for 15 minutes. Peek in every now and then to make sure nothing is sticking or burning.
  5. Add shrimps, mussels and clams after 15 minutes. Place a lid or some low foil over them, and cook the last 5 minutes on med-low. Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes.
  6. Remove the lid. Nutty bottom, Fluffy rice Mussels and clams should be open, and shrimp appear pink. Use a fork, fluff the paella before serving.
