How to Make Tuna Pasta Salad


This Tuna Pasta Salad is easy to make so a great project for the kids too! Follow the steps and within no time you will have a tasty dish to enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound medium shells pasta
  • 3 (5 oz cans) solid white albacore tuna, drained
  • 1/2 red onion, minced (about 1/2 cup)
  • 4 medium celery ribs (diced)
  • 1 cup frozen peas (thawed)
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 lemon, juiced ( app. ¼ cup juice )
  • 1/4 cup minced fresh dill
  • Granulated sugar, to taste (1-2 tablespoons)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

  1. Cook the Pasta Syrup: Boil a large pot of water over high heat with boiling (1 tablespoon salt per 4 quarts). Put the medium shells pasta and cook according to package instructions. Once the pasta is cooled, drain and rinse with cold water.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl combine cooked Pasta, drained Tuna mince Red onion diced celery and thawed peas.
  3. Dressing: In a small mixing bowl, whisk together mayo, lemon juice, dill white sugar Dijon mustard salt and pepper until combined.
  4. Get Everything Together: Then, combine the sauce and pasta together to coat.
  5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill the salsa for at least 1 hour before serving.
