15 Minute Shrimp Scampi (Easy Recipe)
Ingredients
- 1 pound linguine
- 4 tablespoons salted butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 lb Shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley
Directions
- Boil a large pot of lightly salted water. Cook 1 lb. linguine according to package directions until al dente; drain Drain and set aside.
- After the time begin by cooking pasta according to package directions, and heat a large skillet over medium-high. 4–5 tablespoons of salted butter + 2 a little bit more olive. When the butter is melted, add 1 tablespoons of minced garlic and saute for about half a minute until fragrant.
- Place the skillet over medium heat and add 1 pound of raw shrimp, seasoned with 1 teaspoon salt and a good pinch (about ½ teaspoon) crushed red pepper flakes. Keep stirring and cook until the shrimp turns pink, about 2 minutes.
- Add 1/2 cup of white wine to the skillet, scraping up those brown bits from the bottom. Add 1/4 cuplemon juice1 teaspoonItalian seasoning Simmer the mixture for 3 – 5 minutes to allow flavors to blend.
- Return the cooked pasta to the skillet and stir briefly, so that it is lightly coated with sauce. Top heat, sprinkle 2 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese over the top and finely chop fresh parsley by hand. Serve immediately.
